Coaching/Mentoring Services Terms & Agreement
Welcome!
I have positive expectations for our relationship that will help you to create the life YOU want to live. To partner together professionally, I want you to be familiar with the following guidelines.
Description:
-
The relationship between us is Co-Creative, meaning both are equals in the process. I invite you to think of Coaching or Mentoring as a process.
-
Many people create change for themselves in a short time. However, to refine and sustain the change can take several months. Although not binding, I would ask that you expect our relationship to last at least 3 months.
-
The first step in the Co-Creation process may be the development of personal, professional or business goals. Depending on how the learning process works best for you, we may develop a simple & easy to follow plan, and then I will support you as you implement strategies to help you achieve your objectives.
-
I will bring attentive listening, understanding, belief in you and commitment to your success. You can expect me to challenge you, offer fresh perspectives, make requests (including assigning homework), acknowledge your wins, and respect confidentiality in this powerful, sacred relationship.
-
Feedback is necessary for both me and you. It is critical to be open with thoughts, feelings and preferences before during and after sessions.
My Responsibilities:
-
During the time we spend together in our sessions, I will devote my time, thoughts, and energy to you, exclusively. In between our sessions, I may not be instantly available, as I may be attending to others, or myself. I will however, always attempt to be available within 24 hours.
-
I agree to maintain the ethics and standards of behavior set forth in this document Standards of Professional & Ethical Conduct,
-
I am trained to utilize heightened communication skills; meaningful questions and deliberate listening skills to support you as a thinking partner, and will treat you as such,
-
I will be intuitive and guide the sessions as the needs are communicated from you. Communication from you may be written, verbal or non-verbal, and I will respond promptly and thoughtfully,
-
I am not a therapist or counselor. If I feel that your challenge may be better supported by another professional I will encourage and support your journey of obtaining additional support.
-
I cannot guarantee results but will educate, motivate, empower and encourage you to create powerful results if you have the courage and determination to forward the action in your life.
Your Responsibilities:
-
Prior to our appointments you will provide in written form or verbal the Session Agenda or will indicate that you need some assistance forming the agenda for our session,
-
You will initiate all scheduled calls and will call me at the time booked for the session on 0411146248,
-
You will be fully present during the session,
-
You will take ownership of your own physical, mental and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, actions and results.
-
You will communicate with integrity, be open to Honest Encouragement and create the time and energy to participate fully in the session,
-
You accept the fact that our sessions are not to be used as a substitute for professional advice by legal, mental, medical or other qualified professionals and will seek independent professional guidance for such matters,
-
You understand that our sessions do not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders as defined by the Australian Psychological Society and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM–5). You understand that our sessions are not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment. If you are currently in therapy or under the care of a mental health professional, you will consult with the mental health care provider regarding the advisability and/or decision of working with me as a coach or mentor.
Confidentiality:
-
Our relationship, as well as all information that you share with me is aligned with the Standards of Professional & Ethical Conduct Policy, and the Coaching/Mentoring Service Privacy Policy, but is not considered a legally confidential relationship. I will not disclose your name as a reference without your consent. Confidential information does not include information that:
-
(a) was in the my possession prior to its being furnished by you;
-
(b) is generally known to the public or in your industry;
-
(c) that I am required by law to disclose
-
Challenges:
-
If I ever say or do anything that upsets you or doesn't feel right, please bring it to my attention as soon as possible so that we can resolve it in a respectful and thoughtful manner. My objective is to have a relationship that is fully open, honest, real and trusting in our communication styles. We should both realize that communication via telephone or email entails extra challenges since we cannot see body language, facial expressions, etc. Therefore we give each other plenty of latitude, and promptly ask for clarification if there is a mis-connection. We should also both realise that in person communications on challenging and sensitive subjects may be misunderstood and we should be open to grace and honesty if there is a possible mis-communication.
Cancellation Policy:
-
It is your responsibility to notify me 24 hours in advance of the scheduled calls/meetings to reschedule or cancel.
-
I reserve the right to bill you for a missed meeting. I will attempt in good faith to reschedule the missed meeting.

-
Either me or you may terminate this agreement at any time with written notice.
